Picture updates for month 5!

Month two!

The derm upped my dosage to two 40 mg pills one day and one 40 mg the next, alternating between the two every other day. Weird, right? He also used the awful tool to pop my pimples and extract my black heads. It was the most painful experience of my entire life. I cried for about twenty minutes after my appointment :(

I also saw my psychiatrist today (he’s the doctor that prescribes me my medication). If you guys weren’t aware, I suffer from panic attacks anxiety and depression and accutane intensifies these and also makes my attention span AWFUL. Anyways, he upped my dosage of my current medication in hopes that it will help with my intensified symptoms. So, we’ll see how everything goes! Wish me luck. I’m heading into month three, with high hopes.

officially one month of accutane. have pictures of my pimples.

yum.

I visited the derm today and he gave me a bunch of mini cetaphil samples (PURSE SIZED!) and he prescribed me steroid cream for my dry patches. I’m just waiting for this dang flair up to stop and he’ll up my dosage. It’s snowing outside, and life is good. Except for this ugly mask of pimples. When they’re all gone I’ll finally feel beautiful. Maybe.

Hi, tumblr. This is my first post. My name is Jena, I’ll be fifteen Saturday (yay :) ), I’m a student, and I’m starting accutane! I’ve had acne since I was 11 years old and I can’t remember having clear skin ever since. It’s by far my biggest insecurity. I saw some blogs about accutane so I figured I’d hop on the bandwagon and keep this blog to track my progress on this drug. If anyone has any suggestions or support throughout this process it’d be much appreciated. <3
